LIfe Update

Hey there,

it's been a while... but I think I have good news. I'm pretty sure I was hired again.... but I'm not entirely sure. I now work for a couple different families, but they are great and I feel like I will really be working a regular schedule starting next week! I decided on my costume and it's a fireman and i'm pretty excited about that.

I will definitely have more pictures to post.. but for now this is all i've got.

Off to get ready for the party. Should be fun.
Until then.
Good night Austin.

What? Last iPhone and I got it?

HECK YES! I woke up this morning did insanity! it was brutal, but did it anyways. took a shower, and decided to actually try and get some stuff done! Went to the mall did some returns and actually was able to get some really cute pieces from Nordstrom!

 PEPLUM TOP!

New motorcycle style tan faux leather jacket, some blouses, and off the shoulder shirts!

Then left the store, went to BUCKLE, got my jeans hemmed.. well they pinned them i can get them next week! Then decided to stop by the APPLE STORE and BAM bought an iPhone 5! heck yes!

It's pretty crazy especially coming from my hardly working, unable to text, or get on the internet blackberry! I'd say super successful day! Babysitting tomorrow night, then maybe doing a little dancing and going out with friends! We will see! Writing a letter to my friend right now in HONG KONG, so excited for him to write me back!

Things might be looking up

So as of my last post I had nothing. Well I had an interview Thursday it went pretty well, then I went home and took a nap. I woke up to a text asking if I wanted to babysit that night! Well it was from the same person I had interviewed with that morning, so I took that as maybe I got the job! I babysat the little boy, he was super cute, we had lots of fun!

Then friday just hung out with some friends, stayed up way to late, and had to wake up early for Six Flags on Saturday! We had alot of fun, but by the end of the day my feet were killing!!!!!!!! We ended up getting dinner at Chili's and having a great night! While at six flags I got an email asking if I could babysit on Sunday! Instantly I wrote back YES! Worked for a wonderful family on Sunday, and she asked me to babysit again this coming Thursday! So i'm excited about that! Things are sort of looking up but at the same time, I need 400 by the end of the month just to make rent! So we'll see, not there yet but hopeful! Also, my awful phone which hardly texts and works anyways, went for a ride on the water ride! In other words even though it was closed in my purse at the end of the ride i was able to flip my purse over and watch water just pour out! Yeah let me tell you, it did wonders for my already terrible phone! It killed the battery gave that awful white sticker the PINK color of death, therefore turning it on just gave me a white screen! We got home Saturday night and by some miracle I actually have another battery to my phone! It still doesn't hardly text, types random A's or no A's at all and beeps during calls.... but honestly I'm use to that by now! The family I babysat for yesterday also said they might know some other families searching for help! So fingers crossed on that one! I'm not sure when I will work again for my original family, as he works from home and has a really flexible schedule, but really hoping he needs help this week! Emailed quite a few families, and had a couple responses, but no actual job that seems like it would really be what I am looking for! Today was pretty plain, did insanity and some ab work! The past few days I've been trying to eat better! Mixing in lots of salad, fruits and veggies!!!!!!!!!!! Well, that is all for tonight! <3

It's Do or Die

It's official. I'm broke. I do not have enough money to pay rent next month, or honestly even enough to buy groceries and gas for the rest of the month! I called two families and have at least one interview! So, I'm really hoping I dont screw it up! I really need this job, as well as want it!

I'm excited for new work to start just need to get the job. I'm looking forward to this weekend going to SIX FLAGS with my roommates! I still have yet to decide on a halloween costume...

but honestly it's hard to think of ANYTHING else... but being broke! lol My friends band plays tomorrow night, so I might go check that out, or possible check out rodeo again! It's generally pretty fun!

We did Insanity today and it really was a tough workout! I think because we hadn't eaten anything, and hadn't been up and moving it made the workout more challenging! After that, I went running and tons of people were out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is good night...... and more than that.... the next time I write.... it needs to be me saying I have a job!

Tailgate' Hook Em!

Went to my first tailgate..... it was legit insane. First off apart from NASCAR I've really never been to a tailgate. My school didn't even have a football team.. I know what was I thinking.... that's a whole other story... but basically... my high school adviser told me I wasnt getting into college. SO, when I did get into school I sort of freaked and went to it, because she had asked me if I had a plan b to college. FML
Anyways! I went to the tailgate, had an amazing time, not sure I have ever been surrounded by so many people! Tons of stuff to do, it was crazy being in like the quad in the middle of downtown! Cars were passing us on all sides... and there we were right smack in the middle just playing beer pong, dancing, singing, and having a blast! Well we skipped insanity as i had a commitment earlier in the morning and then the tailgate started around 12! SO instead of taking Sunday off (today) we just kind of pretended yesterday was Sunday and did the workout today! It was actually cold today, I woke up this morning shaking I was so cold! My bed is right next to the window and the air comes right through! After insanity I went running, though it was still really cold outside! I have just watched a ton of youtube videos, and have yet again been reminded how important drinking water is and how that can seriously help with weight loss.
I will admit I don't have a great diet..... but in general it consists of healthy type food lots of fruit, vegetables, hummus... etc. MY main issues are that I still am awful at eating multiple times a day.... I tend to the ever-terrible eat one meal a day.... and super lack at drinking water. In general, my diet consists of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some tortilla chips, a diet coke, and berries. To anyone that reads this.... I KNOW. lol its a bad diet... but I'm being honest. My main goal really isn't to cut out anything I like, but to add more. I really feel if I super up my water intake, my body could change drastically. This is awful to admit, but there are plenty of days I consume not even a sip of water.  I mean were talking less than 32 oz's a week. But...... the time has come... to change! My body is alright, I mean I like to workout and run, but I feel like I'm not going to see any results unless I'm actually doing the right things. SO tomorrow. its official begins water!!!!!! Now, I refuse to give up my daily diet coke, but I will just be sure that I am consuming a lot of water. Also, my sleep pattern has been sucking lately, I am getting frantic for a job, and bascially working out with a few swigs of water. So, that is all over now!

This week is dedicated to health by....

- not cutting the foods I enjoy, but just eating more meals, smaller portions throughout the day
- a minimum of 32 ounces a day (i know its still not good.... but I have to be reasonable with myself to achieve my goals!)
-trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies throughout the day!
-up and out of bed eating first meal/snack by 11 AM
-when working out, to the original 32 ounces a day, require a bottle of per activity IE: if I do insanity and run, I have just added an additional  34 oz. of water! (as the bottle I refill is 17 oz)
-seriously trying to not eat after 8 pm (obviously on occasion, parties, etc....)

Once again, everyone has to create a system that works for them. The main reason people do achieve goals is because they go extreme and cut everything at once, and quit there ways after a day or two. So, create whatever system works for you, and obviously, make the cuts where you can and where you know they will benefit you. But more than anything else, set goals you can achieve. You can never win, by setting yourself up to fail! Like you see with the way I set up my water consumption..... just by my normal workout routine, I'm doubling the amount I portioned myself for the day. so I already know going into it that I'm actually choosing to drink 68 oz of water a day. There is some saying about  drinking like 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water... or 64 ounces a day. But, obviously you don't read articles or see on gravestones person died from too much water! SO by no means do you really need to even consider limiting water consumption! Also, when your working out you are losing water, so you really need to be compensating for that! Luckily, here in Austin, it's generally very hot and when I'm running 5+ miles..... drinking water is not an issue! Now that I run at a park here its really great because there are water jugs at the park!!!!!!!!!! I today forced myself to drink 5 cups before starting, and drank a good 5 or so after as well. I have no idea how much it was, but honestly.... it was no where close to how much I should have drank. It might have been a water bottle full and that was all the water I drank the entire day!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, readers if you find my page, maybe you will get inspired just to start with the little things or add goals to your regular routine!

The moment I've been waiting for...

Had an awesome time last night at Midnight Rodeo! Thankful that the same guy as last time was working.... so I greeted him with a Hey remember me, you had the police run my ID.... hahaha and he let me without any hassle! Had an awesome time, brought my roommates out they hadn't been there before! We all danced around, and just had a great time together!!!!!! Met a guy who was ridiculously nice to me, didn't even laugh at my tragic country two step dancing!!!!!  I had lent my cowboy boots to my roommate and ended up wearing these cowboy looking boots... but little did I know till I got there that they were insulated... and I got crazy hot instantly and was like covered in sweat! HAHAHA Not cute at all! I was feeling so gross, but kept wanting to dance!!!I was able to dance with some new friends, I think I'm finally starting to get the hang out of it! It's actually weird now, because I have danced with so many people that I'm learning everybody does it a little different so you just kind of have to go with it! I'm really excited for tomorrow! It will be my first college tailgate.... even though I have already graduated. My college didn't have football, and I know I have been missing out! It should start tomorrow around 12 and we will hang out, cook, and dance all day long! I got a cute jersey, and helped my roommates find some aswell! I'm excited, not real sure what to expect but I'm thinking a ton of people and hopefully cornhole!!!!

Really... Already

So, I just had a bit of a panic attack realizing that tomorrow is my 3 week anniversary here in Texas. I can't believe it... in fact... it freaks me out!!!!!!!! It seems like I've been here a long time but at the same time not at all! Plus I like that feeling of being new here...and now I'm losing my ability to say that. Watched the debate today... got to say... apart from the actual political facts, found Romney to be incredibly rude towards Jim, talking over him and being smug. Didn't give off a very good impression towards me! Insanity tomorrow! Shopping, I want to find something cute to wear to Rodeo' and have a few returns to do! Would like to go running for a bit and hopefully hear back more from jobs. At this point I do not have enough money to pay rent next month, so I really need to have a job by Sunday or atleast by the end of next week be working!
Went with a friend to pick up her new puppy today who was so cute! I'll attach a picture so you can see! It was kinda a shotgun type thing... my friend found a random person on craigslist and we met in a grocery store parking lot! It all worked out though and the puppy was really adorable!

We put her in my purse because we wanted to take her inside to buy new puppy food, bowls, and toys!!!! Can't believe another weekend is just around the corner. Let the fun begin!

<3

I'm Hungry.

Good news I do believe I will be able to stay here another month. No manager has come in to kick me out yet! I did pay my rent but to do subleasing... it complicates matters. My job interview went really well yesterday! Not gonna lie I google mapped their house.... and the image that game up... so how should I SAY THIS.... "something else." I mean I thought it was important to look up as I'm new to the area and wanted to have a clue what the house looked like. Well anyways, the family was wonderful, the interview went well and their son is so cute! He totally has bright blonde hair, and a little mushroom head hair cut! They are interviewing other people this week, as I am to be interviewed by other people, BUT hopefully my Sunday I will have a job! Its a tough situation, new jobs are posted everyday and after choosing a job I need to just not look at the site because I will drive myself crazy! Today is now day 9 with Insanity! Yesterday's workout was "pure cardio" so it was pretty intense, but I think todays workout is more relaxed! I'm super craving mexican food so I'm hoping after we do Insanity we can all go out to eat! Don't have any set plans for this weekend yet, but I'm sure it will be adventured filled! <3

Rent is Due

Sunday completed my first week finished of INANITY. Results? Ha not yet, I mean I'll admit my body has been sore, but no six pack... but its coming!  Sunday actually we have off, its the only day. I didn't get out of bed till afternoon today as we were out till late in the morning. I was planning on going running but ended up helping a friend write a paper for school. We went to a place called "Third Base" it was a nice sports bar downtown, and ordered a mozzarella, tomato, and zucchini sandwich with sweet potato fries! Then we went to Mount Bonnell which was really pretty and overlooking the river. It was there I had another encounter with the police. So there were tons of people like hiding out in the state park spending the night there, and it just so happened my friend and I were sitting a table and the police shined a flash light on us and were like this is a state park it closed at 10 (its like 10:15) and of course I follow the orders.... but in my mind i'm like and what about all the couples that are like twenty feet from me in the woods....... but whatever.
I found a few more nanny jobs but the interviews will be this week. I'm really freaked out, like nervous for the interviews and just ready to actually be working. Rent is due to today, so it's getting to be "do or die" time as I can afford my rent this month, but in order to buy groceries, and pay for next months rent, the money will need to start coming in ASAP! Insanity starts again today, and I really think from this point forward will just become harder and harder, but I'd love to start losing weight and seeing progress! I also have been running, and hope to start doing alot more. I have been keeping the running around 2 miles a day because I had some random heart pains, and trouble sleeping and was concerned something serious may be wrong. I ended up going to the doctor and getting an EKG where I found I had some type of "itis" where there was swelling in my rib/chest area that was pushing against my heart, but nothing was wrong with my actual heart! So that was definitely great news, and I'm glad to know I'm going to be alright! I found a few half marathons and 10k's and am really working towards completing one by the end of the year with a time I am happy about.  I really am trying to focus the next few weeks on becoming better about eating. I am awful and generally eat one meal a day, and its generally late evening! My goals are to increase meals, cut back and eliminate late night eating, and increase water intake. I'm also searching for a recovery drink... I'd like it to just be fruits and vegetables, and not like mass builder, protein, soy. As a present if I get a get a job this week, I'd like to treat myself to a pair of running sunglasses, and some better all surface running shoes! Job interview tomorrow.
Hoping to wake up tomorrow to the peaceful noise of nothing rather than housing attempting to evict me......I paid my rent... went and got my first money order today.....One year good luck.

Faster than Disaster Eh?

So, since my last blog, already to much to be able to remember has occurred. First, I went to Midnight Rodeo again, and this time was a pretty crazy night. It began and ended real quick. It consisted of me getting dressed up in some shorts, a off the shoulder shirt and cowboy boots... which is like the so called "uniform" at this place. So I end up driving myself there to meet a friend of mine around I'd day 12:45. So ID in my pocket and 10 dollars for cover and drinks... I find a parking spot right outside the bar.. and already know this is too good to be true. Not a minute later I arrive at the door ready to party and have a good time... but the bouncers clearly had something else in mind. That being them thinking I had a fake ID. Joy of Joys, nothing like being alone at bar standing outside while people stare at you, and you quickly become surrounded by officers, officials, and receive interrogation 101. But it doesn't end there after a few minutes of me answering questions... Im then asked to walk to my car and get credit cards to prove I have other things with my name on them. So I walk back to my car grab my credit card as well as my previous student ID to prove yet again I am the person I say. The deliberation continues and ends up with me hearing that they are confiscating my ID. At this point, I'm freaking and it's around 1:35 or so no..... of which the bar closes at 2. So I sat you if this is a huge deal you can hold my id and I wont drink, I just wanted to say hi to my friend before the bar closes! Apparently that was the worst thing I could have said because then it turned into a speech about how I'm definitely not 21 or I wouldn't have said that.  (I should mention the bar is 18 and up) I mean I understand there point I guess... other than I'd spent around an hour with them at this point and the bar was closing in another 30 minutes. I tell them to run my plates or license or whatever.. and thankfully they grabbed a police officer at this point.  I walk off to the side with the officer who then calls someone I imagine a office or maybe another police officer and reads them off my card number... and cleared I was fine... shocking not. I am 22. I was never worried, just aggravated to spend my evening like that. I finally made it in after a few more jabs by one of the bouncers about him thinking I was underage, pay my cover and walk over to bar to grab a drink. I order a rum and diet, turn around to face the dance floor and am greeted by a policeman. I hear "I need to see your license again". . . at this point I really was about to start bawling. As I reach into my pocket I realize it was the same officer who had been outside, and he was totally just kidding!  He had not gotten to experience the whole process I had to go through he just came out in the end when they called him over and I was like I'm 22, and he was super nice, called it in, took like 10 seconds and let me in the bar! So I dont think he even realized his little joke wasn't really all that funny! I then walk towards the dance floor and begin looking for my friend. A guy comes out of no where and is trying to talk to me and get me to dance, at this point I really just wasn't in the mood and wanted to find my friend and just have fun with him and his friends. I see him, and he looks at me like he has no idea who I am... walks past me, and I brush my hand against his arm and am like Hey... do you know who I am? I am then slightly acknowledged... and he walks away. After the night I had a greeting like I experienced really was the icing on the cake to my crap night. I end up dancing one dance with the "random" i'd met there, then got in my car and left. All of this occurring within a 5 minute period of me having walked in. Surely not worth the hassle I dealt with to get there. I get in the car turn on my GPS and start driving home. I'm replaying the night in my head, and the whole license situation.... little do I realize my GPS screen has frozen and I drive 20 minutes into the middle of the country. My phone vibrates and I see a text from a random number......... of course, its the guy who I was supposed to meet texting me from his friends number asking me to dance (the guy who acted like I didn't exist when I showed up)! HA Yeah. SO now I've left the bar, am lost, and get that text. I didn't answer, reset my GPS, drove home and went to sleep! Friday I went to the movies with my roommates and one of our friends and we went and saw "The Possession." That evening we got a note from the apartment across from ours saying they were having a party, and to text or call them if we had a noise complaint. Well I took that as an invite. HA... so I walk outside to go to my car to grab a shopping bag and see someone going into the party,  end up seeing some people outside the party and they basically tell my friend and I to come on in... so we did. The party wasn't much, but I guess it made for my no planned evening more exciting than it would have been otherwise.  Saturday was fun, I'd make contact with a friend who plays in a band here from back home, and he had invited me to his show. I had a bit of a miscommunication and got the time of his show mixed up. My roommates and I completed our INSANITY workout, took showers and drove to San Marcos to check out the outlets. We had a good time shopping and then I headed back to go to my friends show. I end up rushing to get dressed and ready, get in the car drive downtown pay for parking, walk to the bar and get a text from my friend saying the show is an hour and half from the time it was right then. Now downtown alone, I'm pretty clueless about what to do... I'm all for having a good time, but I was alone, was going to be driving home, and didn't know anyone. I turn the corner on 6th street... and am surprised by quite a scene.  I see a guy in red and white dot bikini bottoms, with a box and hat, and a cat, and I quickly become very confused. It was some type of show drag I suppose, I'm really not sure, and then tons of people waiting outside in crazy costumes, and rainbow colored hair.  I end up calling and talking to my sister while walking around downtown searching for the bar, time went my fast as she was reading me a paper she was working on! I get to the bar thankful to not have any ID issues, walk in and enjoy the band that is opening for my friends band. I buy a beer and decide to just kind of hang out... that turns into numerous guys coming up and talking to me and trying to buy me drinks... slightly flattering... but at the same time... I just wanted to see my friends band and then return home to go to a party. His band ended up playing later than I expected but it was an awesome show, and I wanted to wait till the end just to say hey, as I haven't seen him in like 6 years or so. It was nice to see him, and then I headed out, I'm sure him and his gf and I will probably all meet up soon and hang out. I then headed for the parking garage, drove home, and my roommates and I went to a party. It was a good time, not a whole lot of people but a good little celebration for sure. Met some new people, and its always nice to spend time with my roommates. We then came home and called it a night!
